Who are the top Milwaukee Brewers of all time?  Here is our top 10 countdown:

10. Jeff Cirillo: a .307 hitter during his eight seasons with Milwaukee, Cirillo hit .300+ 4x in a Brewers uniform with exactly 1,000 hits for the team and was an All-Star in 1997.

9. Ben Sheets: a 4x All-Star in eight seasons with Milwaukee, Sheets was the ace of the Brewers staff in the 2000s and a workhorse who pitched 200+ innings for three consecutive seasons in his prime.

8. Teddy Higuera: spending his entire nine-year MLB career with the Brewers, Higuera compiled a 3.61 career ERA while also leading the league in WHIP in 1988; arguably his best season came in 1986, when he won 20 games and was an All-Star and Cy Young runner-up.

7. Rollie Fingers: perhaps the first modern closer in MLB history, Fingers spent his last four seasons in Milwaukee, highlighted by a 1981 season that saw him not only lead the league in saves, but also win both the AL Cy Young and MVP awards.

6. Gorman Thomas: an “all-or-nothing” type of hitter, Thomas twice led the league in both home runs  (including a career-best 45 dingers in 1979) and strikeouts as a Brewer; while he only hit .230 across a decade with Milwaukee, he nevertheless made an All-Star Game, twice finished top-10 for MVP, and hit 208 home runs for the franchise.

5. Prince Fielder: like his father Cecil, Fielder was a powerful slugger who on separate occasions led the league in home runs (50 in 2007), runs batted in (141 in 2009), and walks (114 in 2010); during seven seasons with the Brewers, he was a 3x All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger, and top-five for MVP 3x.

4. Cecil Cooper: acquired from the Boston Red Sox via trade, Cooper was a power-hitting first baseman who led the league in doubles and runs batted in 2x apiece during 11 seasons as a Brewers while also racking up five All-Star selections, three Silver Sluggers, two Gold Gloves, and three top-five MVP finishes.

3. Ryan Braun: though his career has been tainted by steroid usage, Braun began his career as NL Rookie of the Year in 2007 and went on to earn six All-Star selections and five Silver Sluggers across 14 years in Milwaukee, highlighted by NL MVP in 2011; he is also the franchise career leader in home runs.

2. Paul Molitor: playing alongside Robin Yount for most of his career (15 seasons as a Brewer), Molitor hit .303 in Milwaukee with over 2,000 hits and 400 stolen bases en route to being a 5x All-Star and 2x Silver Slugger with the team.

1. Robin Yount: an underrated star who only had three career All-Star Game selections, Yount was a 2x MVP who also won three Silver Sluggers and a Gold Glove while amassing 3,142 career hits during his 20-year career with the Brewers and setting a slew of franchise hitting records.
