Who are the top Philadelphia 76ers of all time?  Here is our top 10 countdown:

10. Chet Walker: a National/76er for the first seven years of his NBA career, Walker averaged 16.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game with the franchise to make three All-Star teams.

9. Maurice Cheeks: regarded for his defensive skills (5x All-Defensive), Cheeks only averaged about a dozen points per game as the 76ers’ point guard for over a decade, but still made four All-Star teams in the 1980s and won a title in 1982-1983 en route to the Hall of Fame.

8. Billy Cunningham: both a star player and later coach for the 76ers, Cunningham averaged 20-and-10 during his nine seasons in Philadelphia as a player, in the process earning four All-Star and All-NBA selections with the team.

7. Charles Barkley: despite standing just 6’6” at the power forward position, Barkley averaged 20-and-10 during his eight seasons in Philadelphia en route to a rebounding title and six All-Star/seven All-NBA selections.

6. Dolph Schayes: a dominant NBA big man of the 1950s, Schayes was a 12x All-Star and 12x All-NBA selection who won a rebounding title and averaged 18.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game for his career.

5. Hal Greer: a 10x All-Star and 7x All-NBA selection with Syracuse/Philadelphia, Greer was a dynamic all-around player who posted career averages of 19.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game while helping lead the 76ers to a title in 1966-1967.

4. Moses Malone: one of the original preps-to-pros players, Malone came over to the 76ers from the Houston Rockets and won MVP in 1982-1983 while leading the team to a championship and also winning Finals MVP; overall, in five years with Philadelphia, he was a 4x All-Star and 3x All-NBA selection, winning three straight rebounding titles in his prime.

3. Allen Iverson: despite his diminutive size, Iverson was a 4x scoring champion who averaged 27.6 points per game during his dozen years in Philadelphia, earning eight All-Star and seven All-NBA nods, as well as the 2000-2001 MVP award.

Wilt Chamberlain: famous for his record 100-point game and his rivalry with Bill Russell, Chamberlain was a man among boys during his time – across three-and-a-half seasons with the 76ers, he averaged an incredible 27.6 points (1x scoring champion) and 23.9 rebounds (3x rebounding champion; also the highest all-time marks in both per-game and total rebounding), winning three straight MVP awards in his prime.

1. Julius Erving: one of the best dunkers in league history and perhaps the greatest player in ABA history, Erving joined the 76ers upon coming over to the NBA and was an All-Star in all 11 of his seasons with the team with seven All-NBA selections, winning the MVP award in 1980-1981 and an NBA title a few years later.
