7. Calvin and Grant Hill: unlike most father-son duos, Calvin and Grant excelled in different sports: Calvin was a 4x Pro Bowl NFL running back and Super Bowl champion, while Grant parlayed a terrific college basketball career at Duke into a long and decorated NBA career that eventually saw him enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

6. Dell and Steph/Seth Curry: the first family of three-point shooting, father Dell was a Sixth Man of the Year and the Charlotte Hornets’ all-time leading scorer and three-point shooter upon retirement, while Steph is a multiple-time MVP winner who is arguably the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history and Seth is a solid NBA contributor.

4. Bobby and Barry Bonds: while Barry is famous/infamous for being baseball’s all-time home run king (though his legacy is clouded by steroid-use allegations), Bobby was likewise an All-Star and Gold Glove outfielder who became just the second player in baseball history to join the 300-300 club (300 home runs and 300 stolen bases, after Willie Mays).

3. Gordie and Mark Howe: both Hall of Fame players, Gordie was Mr. Hockey himself and played an incredible 24 years with the Detroit Red Wings, retiring as the NHL’s all-time career scoring leader (though he has since been surpassed by Wayne Gretzky); meanwhile, Mark was a defenseman who finished runner-up for the Norris Trophy 3x and top-10 for the Hart Trophy 3x.

2. Archie and Peyton/Eli Manning: perhaps the NFL’s most prominent family dynasty started with a #2 overall draft pick (Archie in 1971) and followed with two #1 picks (Peyton in 1998 and Eli in 2004); Archie was a Pro Bowl quarterback in the 1970s, while Peyton is one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history (5x MVP and 2x Super Bowl winner) and Eli likewise has quarterbacked his teams to two Super Bowl titles.
