Who are the top Tampa Bay Lightning of all time?  Here is our top 10 countdown:

10. Pavel Kubina: a stalwart on the Tampa Bay blueline for a decade, Kubina was a reliable two-way defenseman who accumulated 30+ points 4x with the team and was a key member of the 2003-2004 Stanley Cup-winning team.

9. Vinny Prospal: across a couple of stints with the team, Prospal played roughly half-a-dozen seasons in Tampa Bay and had his best offensive years (all three of his 70+ point seasons), totaling nearly 400 points in a Lightning uniform.

8. Brad Richards: somewhat overshadowed during his seven years as a Lightning, Richards nevertheless was a star in his own right, capped off by winning both the Lady Byng and Conn Smythe during Tampa Bay’s 2003-2004 Stanley Cup run.

7. Nikolai Khabibulin: known as the “Bulin Wall”, Khabibulin played four seasons in his prime with Tampa Bay, leading the team to the Stanley Cup in 2003-2004.

6. Vincent Lecavalier: the #1 overall pick in 1998, Lecavalier was often criticized with Tampa Bay, but retired as the franchise leader in career games played, highlighted by a Richard Trophy, a Clancy Trophy, a Stanley Cup, and nearly 900 points in a Lightning uniform.

5. Nikita Kucherov: with the highest points-per-game in Lightning history, Kucherov is a 2x Stanley Cup champion who has played his entire career in Tampa Bay and posted a pair of 100+ point seasons, including 128 points in a 2018-2019 season that saw him win the Hart, Ross, and Pearson trifecta.

4. Andrei Vasilevskiy: by far the winningest goalie in franchise history, Vasilevskiy was the 2018-2019 Vezina Trophy winner and has backstopped the Lightning to two Stanley Cups, winning Conn Smythe honors in 2020-2021.

3. Victor Hedman: a dominant presence on the blueline since being drafted #2 overall in 2009, Hedman has anchored two Stanley Cup-winning Lightning teams, winning both the Norris and Conn Smythe Trophies during his career.

2. Martin St. Louis: during his dozen plus years in Tampa Bay, St. Louis not only won three Lady Byngs, two Ross Trophies, a Pearson Award, and a Hart Trophy, but was part of a Stanley Cup-winning team and retired as the team’s career leader in assists.

1. Steven Stamkos: the franchise career leader in both goals and points scored, Stamkos has played his entire career with the Lightning since being drafted #1 overall in 2008, twice winning the Richard Trophy and leading the team to a pair of Stanley Cup titles.
