Who are the top Seattle Mariners of all time? Here is our top 10 countdown:
10. Alvin Davis: the AL Rookie of the Year and an All-Star in 1984, Davis played eight of his nine MLB seasons with the Mariners and was a lineup constant throughout the 1980s, batting .281 overall and hitting 20+ home runs 3x and driving in 100+ runs 2x.
9. Kyle Seager: spending his entire 11-year career in Seattle, Seager hit 242 home runs as a Mariner (9x with 20+ home runs in a season) and is top-five in most career hitting categories, earning one All-Star selection and winning a Gold Glove at the hot corner.
8. Jay Buhner: a fan favorite throughout the 1990s, Buhner was a middle-of-the-order slugger who hit 307 home runs across 13+ seasons in Seattle, highlighted by a three-year stretch from 1995-1997 where he hit 40+ dingers each season and earned his only All-Star nod and Gold Glove win.
7. Jamie Moyer: across a 25-year MLB career that spanned four decades, Moyer had his longest tenure in Seattle (a decade plus) and his greatest successes, racking up 145 of his 269 career wins as a Mariner, earning his only All-Star selection, and finishing top-10 for Cy Young 3x.

Alex Rodriguez: drafted #1 overall by the Mariners in 1993, Rodriguez spent the first seven seasons of his MLB career in Seattle and emerged as a superstar at shortstop with four All-Star selections, four Silver Sluggers, a batting title, a pair of top-five MVP finishes, and a 40-40 season (42 home runs and 46 stolen bases in 1998).
5. Felix Hernandez: the winningest pitcher in franchise history (169 wins across 15 seasons), Hernandez was a true ace for the Mariners, making six All-Star Games, winning a pair of ERA titles, taking home the AL Cy Young in 2010, and pitching the team’s first (and currently only) perfect game.

Randy Johnson: the greatest left-handed power pitcher ever, Johnson was a 5x All-Star and 4x strikeout leader in roughly nine seasons as a Mariner, winning the AL Cy Young in 1995 with a scintillating 18-2 record, a league-best 2.48 ERA, and a league-leading 294 strikeouts; he also finished top-3 for Cy Young on three other occasions.
3. Edgar Martinez: the first primary DH inducted into the Hall of Fame, Martinez spent all 18 of his MLB seasons in Seattle, making seven All-Star Games and winning two batting titles and five Silver Sluggers while hitting .312 for his career.

Ichiro Suzuki: after coming over from Japan to win both AL Rookie of the Year and MVP in 2001, Ichiro was a 10x All-Star and Gold Glover in his 13+ total years in Seattle, winning three Silver Sluggers and two batting titles while hitting .321 overall with 10 straight 200-hit seasons, including an MLB record 262 in 2004.
